My first half marathon!!

I have been running with a group of girls for several months now, two of which were training for a half marathon and the rest of us were just along for the run. I didn't sign up for the run, but had the opportunity to run it anyway (thanks, Kris)! I was excited to run this and I feel I did really good. I finished in 2hours and 6minutes. I think that all of us girls did great and ran faster than we did while training! I'm looking forward to the next one!

Headed to the finish line!

WHOOO, I need more cow bell!!

Finished and collected all the goodies they were offering.

Megan was happy to see me after we finished and happy to help eat my bananas!

Emily's Adventure!

Ok, so Emily didn't really have an adventure. She just got her first set of stitches! She was climbing a chain link fence that had pokies on the top and slipped on the way down. When I first heard her crying I thought that she had been stung (it's been happening around here lately), but I lifted her sleeve and saw blood, not that big of a deal, right? Well, the only thing I had to mop up the blood was baby wipes, grabbed one and wiped up the blood, oh crap! It looked meaty and deep(I'm sure you wanted to know that). I hurried the kids to the car, went home and called the kids doctors office. The receptionist tells me that the office is closed, but I asked a few questions about the emergency room(cause I didn't want to go there). She paused for a second and says, "Oh, wait Dr. Labrum wants to talk to you." I'm thinking, "Sweet! He's in my ward, I know him, it's all good!" He told us to come in so he could look at it and ended up staying late to put in Emily's stitches! Emily did good, she wouldn't talk to anyone while she got stitched up, but she didn't cry, just stared at the wall until it was all done. Came home and celebrated with pizza and soda! So, a BIG thank you to Dr. Labrum for the nice stitch up and Chrissa for watching my other kids!

And a few pics to look at!

Megan's new tricks!

Megan has a few new tricks and she is sooo proud of herself!

This first picture isn't a new trick but it's so stinkin cute! I say, "Megan, say cheese" and this is what she does!

Her first trick is that she is standing up all by herself! She gets so excited that she knocks herself over!

Her second trick is climbing! She tries climbing everything now it seems. She likes to climb this little chair and starts pushing the buttons that some of our books have on them.

And the bunk bed ladder, she hasn't made it all the way to the top yet, but I'm sure she will soon. She also climbs up the back of the couch and starts playing with the blinds(haven't taken a picture of her doing it yet).

A surprise for the kids!

We decided to surprise the kids with an airplane ride, but as soon as we turned down the airport driveway they knew what we were going to do. We tried to pretend like we were just going to look at airplanes again, but they weren't buying it! We had a lot of fun, but we all agreed that it was too short of a ride!

Timmy and Spencer getting ready to go up
Timmy got to help fly the plane!
Spencer wasn't quite tall enough to see out the window, but we thought to bring our periscope for  him to use
"Say cheese" Timmy

Then it was Emily and my turn to go up

And another mountain shot

I tried to get a picture of the temple too, but was unsuccessful. Maybe next time ;)! The kids most defiantly want to do it again! Maybe it could be a once a year thing!

Megan's many faces!

Megan is 9 month old now. At her 9 month check up she weighed in at 16 lbs 9 oz, height was 27 inches, and her head circumference was 45 cm. Some of Megan's favorite things are: Mommy, fruit cups, her gee, gettting into Bruce's water, taking baths, and playing with Emily. She crawls around here like crazy and pulls herself up on just about everything. She also makes some of the funniest faces, has one of the cutest sad faces(I need to get a picture of it), and the best full face smile. I am so grateful that this little girl is mine!
