Christmas Program and a few other things

Emily had her Christmas Program today. She sang so intensely that we didn't get very many pictures of her smiling. I guess maybe we should work on that since she looks so mean in most of the pictures, but I tried to only post ones where she looks nice! It was a great program.

After the program we went back to her class room and they did a few more sangs. Here she is with a moracca sing on of their songs (can't remember what song).

Smiling!

Here are the program pictures, sleeeping kids

they are so cute

This was after she first saw us!

Emily got her first Golden Ticket this week! She got caught being good whiling waiting quietly in line to go to the library. Way to go Emily!

Emily also made a candy house at school. Jeff and I were able to go and help with this in the class room. It was a lot of fun!

I figured that we would have a hard time keeping Spencer out of the Christmas tree this year and it's not been too bad, but we have lost a few ornaments. This was Spencer after breaking the first one.

See how HAPPY he is about it! He has only broken one of these balls, he has broken several of the salt dough ones that Timmy, Emily and I made the first year we were in our house, and has crumpled up several of our paper ornaments. What a stinker, atleast he's cute! I guess next year we'll have to make new ones!

Birthday Boy!!

Spencer had his first birthday a week ago, on the 21st! The last year has gone by so fast, it's just been a blur! It was a great birthday!

It is a tradition to fill the living room floor with balloons on birthdays!

Spencer playing with the balloons, he really liked them

Spencer eats a ton for breakfast, so we took him to Golden Corral for breakfast!
This is Spencer after eating a blueberry pancake, half a waffle w/ all the fixing's, cheesy hash browns, a sausage, and chocolate milk!

We decided that this would be a good day to use Emily's coupon for soft play at the fun park and took the kids to play! Spencer was having a lot of fun until Emily left him somewhere and I had to go rescue him!
He really liked biting the netting!

Exploring

Spencer and me going down the big slide, so much fun!

Hey Dad, look at me!!

When we were done at the fun park we headed over to Wal-Mart to grab some much needed whole milk and then headed home. After dinner we got out the birthday cake!
It didn't turn out the way I had envisioned it, but I think it was because the butter cream frosting I made was too soft. It's still cute and Spencer didn't care what it looked like!

For Me?
Spencer just picked the candy circles off that I made and ate those. We had to cut the cake and give him a piece because he wasn't digging into it like we thought he would.

After eating his piece of cake!

After we had cake it was time for presents! Timmy and Emily had a hard time waiting all day for this part!
Here is Spencer on his birthday present that Grandma and Grandpa sent him!(I think Emily likes it more than Spencer)!

Here is Spencer with another present he got. I wasn't expecting him to know what to do with it, but he picked up the string and started pulling it. He is a smart cookie!

The Monday after Spencer's b-day he had his 1 year check up. He is very small, only weighing 17 pounds and 5 ounces putting him in the less than 3% on the weight chart! His height is 28.5 inches, 10% on the chart, and his head circumference, he is in the 75% on the chart! Don't let his small stature trick you! He is very active and is always on the go. He is a climbing champ and has been walking for over a month! We love this little boy and are so happy that he was sent to us, even when he has climbed onto the table and is throwing things over the banister, things like cups full some sort of liquid! Gotta Go!

Happy Halloween

Wednesday before Halloween we carved our pumpkins. We had fun, but next year I'll remember to bring the pumpkins inside to warm up before we carve them! I always have the kids draw a picture of how they want their pumpkin to be carved and then I draw it on the pumpkin and they have at it, I usually get called in to help with the cutting too.

This was the pumpkin Jeff did, I thought it was pretty cool!

Thursday night our ward had their Halloween Carnival. It was fun, but Timmy and Jeff stayed home do to Timmy's flu and I felt their absence! Emily and I took off early so that we could go to my volleyball game that was going on that night.

Friday night we went to Greenville's Halloween Carnival and I don't think we are ever going to go again. It was a nightmare! Way to many people and you pay $3 for 12 Tootsie rolls! I didn't take any pictures, I guess I was too stressed out about being there with so many people!
Saturday night we went Trick or Treating! Timmy tired easily since he still had not completely recovered from being sick. After we hit all the houses in our neighbor hood we all went home for some chow, left over Chinese! Emily decided that she wanted to do some more door to door so I took her out for another 30 minutes and brought back another half a bag of candy! (I keep sneaking that stuff in the trash!)
Timmy and Emily in their costumes!

I couldn't get Spencer to stand with Timmy and Emily so here Spencer in his costume!

He was sooo stinkin cute!

Pumpkins and more pumpkins!!

On Fridays in Timmy's class they get to cash in the tickets that they have earned through out the week for fun little things, but last Friday Timmy brought home little pumpkins! Timmy was kind enough to share his pumpkins with Emily, even though she cried about not getting the ones (that's right more than one) she wanted. They decided that they wanted to paint them and so they did!

Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Walk. It is so much fun and people get really creative! It was a bit cold and I think everyone except Spencer got cold, but we still enjoyed ourselves and each other!
Emily, Timmy, and Spencer at the entrance

Family picture at the entrance

This was part of the first scene and in every scene after there was a hidden m&m pumpkin! The kids loved finding the hidden m&m!

We got a good laugh hearing the kids go "ewwwww" when they saw this pumpkin bottom!

Our neighors put this one together, they did a good job!

Where the wild things are scene

One Wild Thing!

What, another wild thing?

Keebler elves!

And my favorite, Green Gaint!

This was cool, can you guess who it is?

The Pumpkin King! We had just watched this movie early that day.

The kids really like these at the end and I think it helped to warm them up a little, running around to the different ones!
